"My sculpture is a DaGeDar track. I don't have any DaGeDar's at all, but I'm building my own track and making up these obstacles. I'm just wondering if DaGeDar's would actually work on it because they have metal cores. I'm just hoping that it will work!" ~ Isaiah, Room 27
Zachary, Room 27, must be hoping for snow because he decided to create the World's Largest Snowflake.
"I've been working on this for a really long time, and I made it in the shape of an "N" because that's what my name starts with. I'm probably going to put it on my bed."
~Nina, Room 27
Play is an essential part of making art.
"I am posing as the Tai Quan Do Master! What I did was I took a piece of lace and tied it around my head, and I took another piece of lace and tied it around my waist to be the belt. I'm going to paint it black because if I'm the Tai Quan Do Master then I have to be a BLACK belt! "~ Vani, Room 6,
"I made a barn. Right now it's unpainted, but I'm going to paint it next week. I used cardboard, cut up lots of little pieces for hay, used a plastic pig, a plastic rooster and some string. I'm going to paint the roof red, the hay a little bit lighter yellow and the ground... well, I'll figure the color of the ground out later. The hardest part was making the roof." ~Jackson, Room 6
Jake, Room 29, decided to turn one of his drawings into a painting! Way to experiment with different art materials Jake!
"I made a house for my cow. I put fabric in it and tied a piece of yarn around it. I'm going to put it in my room. I love the little bed inside of the tissue box." ~Danielle, Room 29
"We were inspired by another artist who made a much bigger version. What we did was we made a bunch of Ojo de Dios stick weavings and hot glued them together to make a house. Making all of the Ojo de Dios' was the hardest part. We may keep adding on to it! " ~ Ross and Sean, Room 7
